Director of Ta Tarbut Faithlovitch, Israel’s premier national cultural center dedicated to Ethiopian-Israeli artists. The center serves as a vibrant professional hub for contemporary African and Ethiopian art. Prior to her current role, Ms. Maharat served as the Cultural, Academic, and MASHAV Officer at the Embassy of Israel in Ethiopia, Burundi, and the African Union from 2021 to 2023. An international development expert, she specializes in the management of cultural, educational, and social projects both in Israel and abroad. With extensive experience in collaboration across civil society, public sector, and private sector organizations, Ms. Maharat has spearheaded numerous cross-border initiatives in culture, innovation, and societal development. Her work reflects a commitment to bridging cultures, fostering international partnerships, and driving community growth through innovation and context-sensitive solutions.
